How much does it cost to have my firearm repaired? There is no way for us to quote a repair until it is diagnosed on our bench. Each firearm is quoted on an individual basis. Mechanical repairs are based on an hourly basis and any parts required are above and beyond the cost of the labor.
-
Will you work on ANY firearm? As amazing as that would be, the answer is no. Admittedly, we are not yet experienced in several of the firearms available but we are working towards it. There are many firearms that we do not have the proper tools, equipment, or experience to confidently and safely repair. If you are willing to allow us the time to learn from it, and you pay for it, we will gladly consider the opportunity.
-
Can I just bring in a portion of my firearm for you to work on.Because we test fire most all firearms after repair we will need the entire firearm. Exceptions can be made for some services such as sight installs, stuck choke tube, etc. Please message us if you are uncertain but it is generally best to bring in the entire firearm.
-
How long does it take to perform a service or repair? Can you "Rush" the work? This varies depending on the service or repair, and is dependent upon how much work we have in the shop at that time. We aim to try to please everyone but we do not offer a "Rush" service. We do try our best to complete jobs in a timely manner however our shop is run on a first come first serve basis and we are only open on the weekends.
-
Is it possible to "touch up" bluing? In a word, no. In our experience, the only way to fix a bad spot in the bluing is to reblue the entire component. Your other options are at best temporary and generally not very pleasing to the eye.
-
I have firearms that were involved in a flood/fire. Will you work with my insurance Company to resolve payment? No, we do not get involved in insurance claims and all flood/fire damaged firearms are charged one hour labor per firearm up front before a quote will be given.
-
I brought my firearm in for repair but was told it was not reparable or I refused the quote. Do I still have to pay for the quote?Yes, our time is valuable and not free. A one hour estimate charge will be charged in most cases.
-
Can I wait while you work on my firearm?Generally no, unless it is something we can get done quickly. We are not set up to have a social hang out as we have work to do within a limited time. We do love getting to know our customers but if you want to hang around and chit-chat we can at the current hourly rate. Time is money folks, and we are only open for 10 hours a week.
